Dusk

Coming out of work at five tonight was wonderful because it was still light. Just. If it's a dry and cold winter day but light on exit from work, I love it.

And because it's dry I can sit on my wall too and listen to a very loud, alarmed/alarming blackbird from the walkway make its presence felt.

Night is drawing in.

Horizontal Gale-Force Sleet

Went for bus in hard-to-walk horizontal gale force winds which quickly developed into horizontal gale force winds with driving rain with large drops of sleet which hurt the back of my head with the ice. Standing under the one-sided bus shelter, my back, back of my head and legs were drenched whilst my front was relatively dry. I've never known anything like it before!
