Adagio for Strings (Samuel Barber) - YouTube

This music must be my favourite of all music. Whenever I remember what an idiot I am and feel down and depressed, this matches my mood and I cry lots of tears. Headphones and repeat one. For a long time.

How The Brits Rocked America: Go West - 1 How The West Was Won

Requested by Ronzoni....

As usual, left click this link to watch, right click this link to download.

Here's the blurb...

The first part of a series celebrating the success of British rock in America looks at how a British invasion led by the Beatles conquered America in the 60s. The groups were astounded by pizza, skyscrapers and real cowboys while America fell in love with a curious blend of swinging London and ye olde England. With contributions from Paul McCartney and Jimmy Page.

P.S.  Virgin Media (my broadband provider) is currently upgrading its systems to double speeds but as a consequence of their works, our internet keeps dropping out.  There are two interruptions to this video but I hope it doesn't spoil your enjoyment too much.  If I manage to get a better file of this before BBC iPlayer people remove it, then I'll replace, obviously.

Faure, Dolly Suite, Berceuse

This is the signature tune of Listen With Mother. This version is, frustratingly, of a faster tempo than I remember on the radio programme but still wonderful to hear.

Makes me want to be able to play the piano again. I reached Royal Schools of Music Grade V Pianoforte so perhaps would have been able to play some of this. :-)

I'd like to hear a version with a slower tempo, if anyone finds one. :-)
